Brief introduction:
Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers, are a class ofcopolymers or a physical mix of polymers (usually a plastic and a rubber) that consist of materials withboth thermoplastic and elastomeric properties.While mostelastomers are thermosets, thermoplastics are in contrast relatively easy to use inmanufacturing, for example, by injection molding. Because of its elastomeric component, TPEs are soft and flexible materials that can be repeatedly stretched to at least twice their original length at room temperature and return to the approximate length of the original shape upon stress release.

Application of TPE:

▲ TPE generally does not have hygroscopicity and does not need to be dried, but excessive moisture in the overmolded material or matrix will adversely affect the adhesion. Therefore, overmolded products usually need to be dried.
▲ For varieties that need to be dried, the moisture content is required to be below 0.1%. In order to maximize the drying efficiency and produce high-quality workpieces, it is strongly recommended to use a dehumidifying dryer or a vacuum dryer. Typical drying conditions are 2 to 3 hours at a temperature of 70-80 degrees Celsius
